a pictorial and descriptive guide to london and the british empire exhibition. the colonial exhibition, which took place from 1924 to 1925 at wembley park, intended to counter emerging powers which were beginning to challenge britain on the global stage. the book comes "with two large section plans of central london; map of london and twelve miles round; railway and motor bus maps; main roads out of london; hyde park and kensington gardens, and twenty other maps and plans." also includes map inserts.

london: ward, lock & co. 80 pages. 4.5x6.75". bound in red cloth, round corners, size to fit pocket. book condition: damp staining to front panel, stamp residue to front-free endpaper, mild soiling to head of block. very good+. jacket condition: loss to foot of spine, chip to head of spine, front and black flaps separated from front panel. very good+.
