“a bout de souffle,” the iconic godard film, is reconfigured as a page-bound montage. in this physical translation, film stills are paired with captions and arranged to create a continuous visual strip, resembling a strip of celluloid. however, the continuity that might be achieved through this reconfiguration is disrupted by the collagist and syncopated style of the original filmmaking. this stylistic and conceptual approach is accentuated in the projects new physical form.
